My first experience with online pet adoption is with Jona Labrador Puppies at jonalabradorpuppies.com. I filled out a form on the website to inquire about a puppy. They responded with a text. They asked that payment be sent via Zelle, CashApp, or MoneyGram at CVS pharmacy. The signs were all there now that I look back, but I stupidly wired a money gram.
About Jona Labrador Puppies

It all started in the year 2013, when we got an AKC registered chocolate Labrador Retriever named Daisy. What began as a hobby gradually blossomed into a full-time family endeavor, as we added purebred Labradors of various colors, and most recently, several AKC registered Poodles. Currently, we have numerous children and grandchildren who help to raise, train, and care for our dogs & puppies on a daily basis,
They have different names to use for each. I finally woke up to the scam when they texted me about the agency for delivery a few days later on a Monday morning. I found an email that was very colorful & wordy that explained that due to weather happening between the shipper & my airport, I would need to rent or buy a special heated/air conditioned crate.
The options ranged, but it was nearly $2000. 98% would of course be refunded upon arrival of the puppy. I tried to research them, but couldn’t find them online. I texted the “seller” asking the name of the agency. No response. No surprise. They had also given an email asherlabradorpuppies@gmail.com, probably by mistake. They must have multiple scams going. I could find a website for Asher Labrador puppies.
