Although there is a Venmo Survey $100s promotion, there are a lot of "Venmo Survey $100" scams circulating on Instagram, Facebook, and via text messages. Below is a Venmo text scam being sent by scammers to trick their potential victims into clicking the link in it that goes to a phishing website. The phishing website, disguised as a survey, steals personal and financial information and may send potential victims to malicious websites that trick them into downloading malware.

I got same text from 412-699-3554
I got the same text from 323-523-1099.
Just got a text from (929)816-4965 with the message: “Dear Venmo User: You have been selected to receive a free gift worth at least $100 for a 2 minute survey”(with a scam link)
Or I guess a better question would be what are some solid tried & true ways to identify scams like these?
How can we be sure that the links you provided are legit?
