Apple ID Password Reset Scam Email and Verification Code

Apple ID Password Reset Scam Email and Verification Code

I got an email and a text with a verification code that I need to reset my Apple ID. I also got a popup on the screen of my phone asking to allow me to reset and change my Apple ID password that looked very official and it came from my main phone screen when I was about to open safari but it’s a scam.

This means hackers are trying to break into iCloud and phish your info by sending you a request to reset your password but you are actually giving them access.

If you want to reset your passwords go to settings…never click on any system pop up boxes even if your phone generated it. Forward any emails or texts to reportphishing@apple.com.
