myGov Scam Message Targeting Users -  Services Australia

Scammers are targeting myGov users. myGov will never send you an email or SMS text message asking for your myGov sign-in or bank details. Scammers are trying to trick you into paying money or giving out your personal details. There are many types of scams that pretend to represent the government, including myGov.

What to watch out for

Always access myGov by typing in the web address yourself.

Services Australia and myGov will never send you an email or text message asking for your:

  • username
  • password
  • myGov PIN
  • secret questions and answers
  • personal details.

When you are signed in to myGov, the messages in your myGov Inbox are secure. It’s safe to open links included in myGov Inbox messages.
