crypto.com Verification Code Scam

A crypto.com verification code scam typically involves attackers sending fake SMS or email alerts about unauthorized login attempts or withdrawals, prompting you to enter your credentials on a phishing website to "secure" your account. These scammers seek your 2FA code, password, or anti-phishing code to take over your account,, and they may call you pretending to be support.

Protect Yourself

  • NEVER Share Codes: Crypto.com will never ask for your password, 2FA code, or PIN via phone, SMS, or email.
  • Set Up Anti-Phishing Code: Enable the custom Anti-Phishing Code in your app settings so legitimate emails contain a unique phrase.
  • Do Not Click Links: If you receive an unexpected notification, do not click links. Log in directly through the official app or website.
  • Verify Communication: Use the Crypto.com Verify tool to check if a message is legitimate.

Received a Suspicious Code

  1. Do nothing: If you did not trigger the request, do not use the code.
  2. Check login activity: Check your official app for authorized devices.
  3. Contact Support: Use only the in-app support chat to report it.

If you provided your details, immediately log in and change your password, lock your card, and contact Crypto.com support.
