6616893002 Scam Unauthorized Payment Text Message

Do not call telephone number 6616893002 because people are receiving fake AT&T "Unauthorized payment" text messages like the one below asking them to call the same number. The fake messages are being sent by scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' money, financial, and personal information. Therefore, recipients are asked to delete the messages.

I also received an "unsuccessful payment" text. Obviously bogus (the "from" phone number, (410) 100-001, is lacking a digit, for one).

Don't reply (you may end up being charged for an expensive call, who knows?), don't give them any information if you do call. Delete immediately.
