01612405000 Scam Calls - Beware - 0161 240 5000

Had a missed call called back managed to get through to someone after being on hold for 30mins. Was told it was a scam because if anyone from there calls with a legitimate reason they always leave a vm. Number blocked

I heard this weirdo leaving and message then told him to F-OFF. Lets's just hope these scum bags listened to my message.

Answered the phone and out of curiosity pressed one to see who answered. An Indian woman asking for my name to look into the case, not today hun haha I hung up on her

It's called spoofing... the scammed disguises their number so that it appears to come from someone you know, or a genuine establishment, in this case, Oldham Court. If you get to speak to someone, waste as much of their time as you can, give false details then tell them to f#-$ off. What ever you do, don't give any info about yourself.

I just had a call from this number. They claimed to be from Oldham County Court, telling me my NI number has been compromised, and to press 1 to speak to an officer. I did not say anything, and they hung up. Blocked and reported.

Just had a call from this number I told them I knew it was a scam and they hung up but please be warned that when you put this number in google it comes up as Manchester family court but is 100% a scam

Just got a call from this number - it threatens to block your NI number and then there is a recorded voicemail for talking to an 'Officer'. Block and report the number

I saw the missed call and the caller ID said Old ham court Manchester. Called the number and it thanked me for calling the number and said it was the civil and family court. I decided to do a search because I don't even live near Manchester and wondering why would they call me. So glad that the search showed it was a scam. I have reported the number to my phone provider. I trust no one fall for these evil scammers.

Had 3 phone calls from this number listened to the threat of court and or prison if I did it return thier call. Waited til then end and someone spoke to me with a American / Canadian accent asking my name ?? I said you rang me so you should know my name ! How do I know who you are and they sighed and hung up. Very worrying though as I rang the number plus looked it up an to all intents and purposes it was Manchester civil courts service ?? Now I have seen it’s a scam my mind it at ease “sort of’

I literally just had a phone call from this number 01612405000, they asked for my name (I did give it) that was all then she told me I had a warrant out for my arrest 🤣 I live miles & miles away from manchester so I doubt that, I laughed at her & she hung up!

I got a call from this number, I identified it as a scam, I said HELLO and then said nothing as soon as he started to speak, finally, he got fed up and probably knew he had been sussed so he put the phone down. this always works.

lol, the number appeared in bright red! with a '!' next to it, obviously another fraudster trying their luck!!

Definitely a scam. Block the number and report to your telephone provider so that they can gather info to investigate.

Didn’t answer this call today as I recognise the 0161 area code from a previous phone call where the caller was very persistent. Call said it was from ‘Oldham County Court’, but googled as no connection to Oldham, and it comes up as a scam. Now blocked.

I received a call from this number today , which is banck holiday,they are stupid scammers.

I received a call from this number on 27 Aug 2021, it being flagged as a potential scam. I was in the middle of another call and declined this call. Googled it and wasn't surprised to see it is a scam. Number blocked. I move on with my life.

I have received a call from this number 01612405000 today 24/08/2021. My android phone showed "potential fraud" on the screen but I answered as I'm getting calls from this number a couple of times and ignored it and upon googling the number, found out that it belongs to courts in Manchester.

There was an automated message (which wasn't very clear) about a National Insurance fraud and if I ignore it then there will be serious consequences. Asked me to press 1 to speak to a representative, which I did. Stayed on the phone for a couple of minutes and then a "representative of the court" started speaking in a very threatening manner. He asked me to confirm my personal details like date of birth, National Insurance in very poor English.

He refused to give me his name and number and the kind of "fraud" associated with my national insurance. I told him that it all seems like a scam to me and he hung up straight away.

SCAMMER, called then texted through a poor edited letter from the Inland Revenue threatening to seize all assets, ignore. calling from MumbaI probably.

I have just been called by this number too but have ignored it. Googled to see it was a court in Manchester, I have no relation to Manchester nor ever been. I'm sure this is a scam because if it was important they would have left a voicemail.

Was just called by this number a few minutes ago. I usually don't answer calls from unknown numbers but as we have family in Manchester I answered just in case - it just said "Manchester, England" under the number! - but after a couple seconds of silence, it just cut off!
I've now blocked it anyway so won't hear from them again!

I was called today by this number it came up as Oldham County Court but when I googled it it came up as Manchester County Court I just ignored it and have since blocked the number. This is worrying though as the same number does exist so not sure how they have got access to this.

I have just received a call to my mobile saying it was from Manchester Courts, I did press option 1 as I was called as a witness from them I thought the call was ligit, it seems it was not I am unsure what to do now
