PNC Alerts Scam Text Message and 866-380-2251 Telephone Number

The PNC alert scam text below, which appears to have been sent from "3246-pnc-financial-serice..." and asks recipients to call the fake PNC customer support telephone number 866-380-2251 because their accounts have been temporarily frozen, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scammers is to frighten and trick their potential victims into calling them. If contacted, the scammers will pretend to be a PNC Bank customer representative and attempt to trick potential victims into disclosing their credit card or banking information. If they receive the information, it will be used fraudulently.
