Is kbscollect.com a Scam or Legitimate Website? KBS Collection

Is kbscollect.com a Scam or Legitimate Website? KBS Collection

Can anyone tell me if KBS Collect or KBS Collection located at kbscollect.com is a scam or a legitimate website? The only information that is available on the website is a telephone number. There is no physical address of the company and I cannot find out who is operating it and from where. I can call the telephone number but I am afraid the person on the other end can tell anything. So, I decided to research the company for myself.

KBS Collection at kbscollect.com

  • August 11, 2022 at 8:41 PM by an anonymous user from: DeKalb, Atlanta, Georgia, United States

On August 11, 2022 at 9:58 am, I received a voicemail from www.KVScollection.com. The message was: "Yes, this is Phillip with KVS. We have received the preliminary paperwork in regards to breach of contract with one of our clients. We really need to get this matter resolved as soon as possible. Please either give us a call back at this number (1-470-461-4056). Or if you prefer electronic communications, go to our website KVScollect.com. Bt law I am required to inform you that this communication is from a debt collector. Thank you." I went to the website and they said that it is for a breach of contract with Sprint for $516. That could not be true because my cell phone carrier currently is Sprint which has merged with T-Mobile. I went to the website to check and see if this company is a scam and they are listed all over the web as scammers.

I reported them to the FTC and the consumer complaint department. THIS IS VERY MUCH A SCAM.

Received a call on a Saturday morning at 7am from Christopher stating they had been trying to contact me via phone and mail. (Never received either) It showed as a Washington State #. Googled the number to no avail. My scam alert caught it and sent it to voicemail. So annoying.

  • August 5, 2022 at 2:19 PM by an anonymous user from: Austin, Texas, United States

These people have been calling me for a couple weeks & leaving voicemail with their website address, so I finally went to the website today to look. It says I owe $804.19 to First Bank, but no additional details about the account age or account number. I have other debt that I am actively working to settle & all their websites include this information. I also check my credit report regularly because I am trying to clean up my credit. There has never been a debt on my report for this amount or for KBS or First Bank. Called the 888-530-5476 number on the website & spoke with Claude (after their automated system told me how much better it would be for me to just pay via the bot, rather than talk to a person). Claude claims this account was opened in Feb 2006 & was in good standing until Jan 2008. I asked why it's never appeared on my credit report or why I would never receive any collection attempts before now on something so old. He stated that this did seem strange & obviously I was wishing to dispute this debt, so he would mark it down as such & the burden of proof would now be on First Bank & I would no longer receive calls. Unless of course I'd like to just settle it real quick for a reduced price? LOL!

This c**p feels scammy af to me, y'all. I know I have debts, but this is not one of them. I feel sorry for the poor people who fall for it & settle for a "reduced price" just because they're worried about their credit.

I just got a call from these idiots - some guy named Christopher. They didn't say my name (as it was obviously a recording). I have never heard of these people before. Although I figured it was a scam, it was good to see all these recent posts. And like everyone else on here, it went straight to my VM because it was spam. Thanks, everyone!

They called me before they had a website. I even tried looking up an address for them . Supposedly it's in a big chase building in Beverly hills. The listing of companies in that building did not include kbs. To the approach of collecting money they were unprofessional intrusive and just concerning. I had concerns from the beginning and still do.

I tried googling their telephone (1-888-530-5476) but found nothing. I then decided to research the domain name(kbscollect.com) and found out the website was created 15 days ago. Then I asked myself, how comes a website that was created 15 days ago has so many testimonials? My answer, they may be fakes.

I personally do not trust kbscollect.com.

Update...I just received a text message from Asha @ A.S.G. phone # 1- 205-656-1162 saying I, the wrong named person, did not choose an option to clarify this matter. I replied in my text message back, that I am not this person or know who this person is, for them to listen to their voice mail, answers to questions they ask, before calling any one back!
