Is kbscollect.com a Scam or Legitimate Website? KBS Collection

Can anyone tell me if KBS Collect or KBS Collection located at kbscollect.com is a scam or a legitimate website? The only information that is available on the website is a telephone number. There is no physical address of the company and I cannot find out who is operating it and from where. I can call the telephone number but I am afraid the person on the other end can tell anything. So, I decided to research the company for myself.

On August 11, 2022 at 9:58 am, I received a voicemail from www.KVScollection.com. The message was: "Yes, this is Phillip with KVS. We have received the preliminary paperwork in regards to breach of contract with one of our clients. We really need to get this matter resolved as soon as possible. Please either give us a call back at this number (1-470-461-4056). Or if you prefer electronic communications, go to our website KVScollect.com. Bt law I am required to inform you that this communication is from a debt collector. Thank you." I went to the website and they said that it is for a breach of contract with Sprint for $516. That could not be true because my cell phone carrier currently is Sprint which has merged with T-Mobile. I went to the website to check and see if this company is a scam and they are listed all over the web as scammers.

I reported them to the FTC and the consumer complaint department. THIS IS VERY MUCH A SCAM.

So either they are scammers or they called the wrong Jennifer that happens to have my same last name and birth date, but they wanted me to give them my SS number and Address needless to say I didn't

It is a total scam. I got no mail or calls from this company either but received that same message from Christopher. I think they used AS@G for a contact to. Don’t get scammed

  • August 6, 2022 at 1:53 PM by an anonymous user from: Chelan County, Leavenworth, Washington, United States

Received a call on a Saturday morning at 7am from Christopher stating they had been trying to contact me via phone and mail. (Never received either) It showed as a Washington State #. Googled the number to no avail. My scam alert caught it and sent it to voicemail. So annoying.

  • August 5, 2022 at 2:19 PM by an anonymous user from: Austin, Texas, United States

These people have been calling me for a couple weeks & leaving voicemail with their website address, so I finally went to the website today to look. It says I owe $804.19 to First Bank, but no additional details about the account age or account number. I have other debt that I am actively working to settle & all their websites include this information. I also check my credit report regularly because I am trying to clean up my credit. There has never been a debt on my report for this amount or for KBS or First Bank. Called the 888-530-5476 number on the website & spoke with Claude (after their automated system told me how much better it would be for me to just pay via the bot, rather than talk to a person). Claude claims this account was opened in Feb 2006 & was in good standing until Jan 2008. I asked why it's never appeared on my credit report or why I would never receive any collection attempts before now on something so old. He stated that this did seem strange & obviously I was wishing to dispute this debt, so he would mark it down as such & the burden of proof would now be on First Bank & I would no longer receive calls. Unless of course I'd like to just settle it real quick for a reduced price? LOL!

This c**p feels scammy af to me, y'all. I know I have debts, but this is not one of them. I feel sorry for the poor people who fall for it & settle for a "reduced price" just because they're worried about their credit.

    • August 11, 2022 at 12:18 AM by an anonymous user from: Greenwood Village, Colorado, United States

  • August 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM by an anonymous user from: Ashburn, Virginia, United States

This is a scam. This company is the newest version of asg recovery. Total scam debt collection. They have a judgement against them from California dated July 2022. Here is the complaint. https://dfpi.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/337/2022/07/d-r-asg-recoveries-llc.pdf

  • August 4, 2022 at 4:43 PM by an anonymous user from: Ashburn, Virginia, United States

They have been calling for 3 years. I have asked them to stop via text, email, recorded messages, and the rare times I was able to reach a person. They don't stop and I don't know the person they are looking for.

  • August 4, 2022 at 2:54 PM by an anonymous user from: DeKalb, Atlanta, Georgia, United States

I just got a call from these idiots - some guy named Christopher. They didn't say my name (as it was obviously a recording). I have never heard of these people before. Although I figured it was a scam, it was good to see all these recent posts. And like everyone else on here, it went straight to my VM because it was spam. Thanks, everyone!

  • August 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM by an anonymous user from: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I received 2 calls also from 2 different men leaving web site to contact them or call. I called 2x, never getting a person answering only an automated voice mail system. In their voicemail to me they stated they were trying to collect a debt & I was in breach if contract.

  • August 3, 2022 at 12:36 PM by an anonymous user from: Harris County, Houston, Texas, United States

Fake. A guy named Christopher Adams with the office of KBS & Assoc LLC left a voice mail and did not leave a number to call back. He said I can go to their website and get the info to call back. He called from 312-667-2828 moved to spam from my caller ID. I don't have anything outstanding.

  • August 2, 2022 at 2:49 PM by an anonymous user from: Pine Grove, California, United States

They called me too, but a recording, im confused, I'm not even late on my payments and my # is unlisted.

    Who are these people?

  • August 2, 2022 at 2:17 PM by an anonymous user from: Louisville, Colorado, United States

I also got a call today and due to spam call it went directly to vm. I don't have anything in debt collection. However I'll advise what others have as well, do not give them your info make them give it to you and request the information including the person or company the debt is originally with.

  • August 2, 2022 at 8:00 AM by an anonymous user from: Sunbury Township, Budd, Illinois, United States

They are not legit. Most of their phone numbers are starting to come up as "Scam likely". Send them to voicemail, laugh, and delete

  • August 1, 2022 at 8:07 PM by an anonymous user from: Los Angeles, California, United States

Not a legit company. Their whole intimidating sounding messages are silly at best. Do not allow them to scare you. Tell them send it in writing and give them 0 info. If they have your address then they can do this. No debt collector has power.

KBS is a collection agency operating in 16 US states and Europe/Canada. Many businesses do not list physical addresses for security reasons these days. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call or click chat on the website!

Oh, bullschit! Even if I believe that y'all are legit, you're running a collection agency, not a d**n battered woman's shelter. There's a collection agency right across from my oldest daughter's house. They don't try to hide their business because they're running a legitimate operation. The repo guys in town are pretty easy to find, also.

If only the website could be found🤔 And right a return phone number in the VM would be nice. Seeing as how it’s spam and goes straight to VM my phone doesn’t show the number. Sounds like a scam to me

I think it is a scam I called them back they said I had an account with someone I never had an account with to the tune of 900 and I told her I needed a letter stating how I was late...and then she rattle off my old address and tried to get me to tell her where I lived I told her to mail it to the address she had. Then she called me stupid. They are scamers. Don't give them one red scent.

  • July 24, 2022 at 9:10 AM by an anonymous user from: Downtown Redmond, Redmond, Washington, United States

They called me before they had a website. I even tried looking up an address for them . Supposedly it's in a big chase building in Beverly hills. The listing of companies in that building did not include kbs. To the approach of collecting money they were unprofessional intrusive and just concerning. I had concerns from the beginning and still do.

  • July 23, 2022 at 8:47 AM by info

I tried googling their telephone (1-888-530-5476) but found nothing. I then decided to research the domain name(kbscollect.com) and found out the website was created 15 days ago. Then I asked myself, how comes a website that was created 15 days ago has so many testimonials? My answer, they may be fakes.

I personally do not trust kbscollect.com.

      • August 4, 2022 at 11:51 AM by an anonymous user from: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Update...I just received a text message from Asha @ A.S.G. phone # 1- 205-656-1162 saying I, the wrong named person, did not choose an option to clarify this matter. I replied in my text message back, that I am not this person or know who this person is, for them to listen to their voice mail, answers to questions they ask, before calling any one back!
